Our intimate stage and 120-seat theater asks for creative ways for Set Designers to create place while maximizing the space. We are looking for a candidate who has 3-5 years of experience with digital drafting, supply budgeting, and overseeing a construction team. This person will work with the Design Consultant, Production Coordinator, and Scenic Carpenter, and will report to the General Manager. Expectation: - With the input of the Design Consultant and Production Coordinator, design set pieces and scenery plans. - Create a construction plan. - Build a supply list and source materials, staying on budget. - Schedule and lead load-in. - Review rehearsal and show reports. DLC is looking for Scenic Carpenters for the remainder of the 2023 season and to review portfolios of Carpenters looking for future projects. This person will work with the Set Designer and Production Coordinator to create the set. They will report to the Production Coordinator. Expectation: - Construct set pieces and scenery plans provided by the Set Designer during load-in. - Review rehearsal and show reports for any set damages and work with the Production Coordinator to fix them. - Lead strike and make sure the shop is properly put back together.
