Broadway Babies Drama Classes

At the Zoo

Students learn singing, dancing, and acting skills as they work as part of a theatrical team. Class session culminates in a final performance for family and friends featuring props created by students during craft time.

Beginning Acting Classes

Penguins of Madagascar

Join Skipper, Private, Kowalski, and Rico as they orchestrate an elaborate escape from Central Park Zoo and end up in Madagascar! Students will learn singing, dancing, and acting skills as they work as part of a theatrical team.

Fridays, 5:00-7:00pm – March 16 – April 27 (No class 3/30 or 4/6)

Dress Rehearsals: 5/3 & 5/4, 5-7pm

Madagascar: A Musical Adventure, Jr.

Students on DLC’s stage this Spring will “move it, move it” from Central Park Zoo to the shores of Madagascar while working as a theatrical team.

Drama for Adults: Acting for Film & TV

“Lights, Camera, Action!” Learn on-camera acting skills while working on scenes in a low-pressure learning environment, all while having a great time with your classmates. Topics such as slating, using a reader, movement within the frame, and much more will be covered during th term. The session will conclude with a Q&A with professional Film & TV actor Andy Clemence, who will discuss what it takes to be a successful on-screen actor. Footage from the class will be played on “DLC TV” (private YouTube link) at the end of the session.

Spring Break Camp 

Register for one day or the entire week as you create characters, write skits, and have them filmed. Footage will be played on “DLC TV” (private YouTube link) at the end of the week. Each day includes drama-themed fun, arts & crafts and more!

Dates: April 2 – 6, 9am – 4pm
Grades:
 K-6
Tuition: $75 per day, $325 for the week
